Or just use :)
Exactly. I mentioned that zero-width space. (now this is getting off topic, isn’t it?)
It still autocorrects to emoji in quotes, plus i prefer :D
Or just use [^:
but then you have to navigate out of the tab, copy something, and then put it back, rather than something that takes less than a second
If I copy it once, it’s in my clipboard.
And I’m aware the clipboard can reset, or remove old items, but why don’t I just pin it in that case? For whatever reason, I’m obsessed with emoticons anyway.
?
I guess you just never use your clipboard, at least not that much… again, :) is less than a second. whatever floats your boat :D
…Do you not know what pinning is?
There’s a pin icon next to each item in the clipboard, is there not?
EDIT:
Do you use Windows as well, or are we on different pages?
There’s a pin icon next to each item in the clipboard, is there not?
I am on win11. I have no idea how you’re seeing “times” on a clipboard, let alone pinning.
press windows key + v
doesn’t do anything + still slower
Agreed, I have seen so many people on the forum who wanted to mod Snap! (Or at least try.)
it just opens the windows search thing. what should I search?
That’s strange. Here on windows 10 the clipboard popup thing appears, and the same thing happens in windows 11:
In Win11, even just the Windows + . used for emojis also has a tab for the clipboard. Does that also work?
There’s a good chance you just haven’t enabled clipboard history
Windows + .
I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, but that opens a magnifier.
you just haven’t enabled clipboard history
makes sense.
I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, but that opens a magnifier.
Huh. Windows and + is supposed to be the magnifier shortcut. Are you sure you’re using windows?
Windowsand+is supposed to be the magnifier shortcut.
yeah, exactly.
Windows + .
I don’t know what I’ve done wrong, but that opens a magnifier.
I think the “+” was a metasyntactic Join, and it’s the “.” that you’re meant to type.
