Don’t just cycle through costumes. You can use the different stretching effects, make the sprite move or turn, or even change the color and brightness.
You can also draw the frames in something like piskel and port it over if you want a better costume maker.

This but each part is separate, sort of like a makeshift rig. It allows a lot more flexibility and fluidity if you do it right. The only problem is that it’s significantly more difficult unless somebody has already made a decent keyframe animation library for Snap!
