I’ve been thinking of this for a while and thought about where the Snap! Devs will pick what they think are the most creative projects and then put it in a voting where the community gets to vote their favorite projects! Then, which ever one gets the most votes, gets a little medal to the side of their project when it’s opened, like this:

What if a project someone indulged into working hard gets picked but didn’t defeat the others in votes?
Well, it isn’t based on popularity. It kind of builds suspense, leading to you wondering who will win. It is based on who votes a project and who doesn’t. Others would need to know that it all is just something to have fun with, not something to get upset about because you didn’t win. It’s okay to be upset, but you always have a next-time. Just no trash talk, because that can make someone even more upset.
Not everyone can withstand the humiliation of not having the highest possible position of a contest.
Even though this sounds like a decent idea to you, Snap! is against contests in principle.

is there a reason why this is necessary? It is, in fact, a popularity contest so I don’t know why you would want this. basically, what good would it add to snap?
