I’ve made a new translation of Snap! into Russian. Why can’t I just send the translation here? Why do I have to learn Git to do it? It’s illogical: I don’t need to learn Git to use Snap!, but I do need to learn Git to help you?
You don’t really have to learn git, though? All you have to do is upload it to Github. Of course, I’m not a Snap! developer. But still, you don’t have to learn git just to upload a translation. You do have to fork, and then upload it, and then finally make a pull request to Snap!.
All that’s left to do is learn how to do it. And all that bunch of unfamiliar words…
Github is used by many developers, including the developers of Snap!. However, instead of complaining that it is illogical that you need to learn Git to add a translation, you could ask if anybody would be willing to teach you or make the pull request (I know, github terminology) for you - and I bet someone (if not a developer themself) will step forward.
