thanks

I don’t know why you guys like Fade Blocks, especially beyond 85% as in your script pic. It’s impossible to see the ring! Yes, there’s an otherwise inexplicable right arrowhead in it, but you really want it to be obvious how much is enclosed by the ring. :~(

My guess: dark blocks in dark theme?

Ah, yes, the ring is slightly more visible against a light background. But only slightly. If I were designing that feature (and if I remembered to test every case!) gray rings would be exempt from fading.

Not really sure what I’m doing, but this one kinda looks like a city

I used to use fade blocks between 80-90% a few years ago because the normal blocks hurt my eyes and flat design was still white then
Edit: flat design probably wouldn’t have done much, anyways

I feel like the block edges could still be shown, something like this:

I feel like the block edges could still be shown

The whole reason for Fade Blocks is as a propaganda tool to use when people suggest that text languages are “real” and block languages “primitive.” It turns Snap! into a text language. That would be defeated if 100% fade still showed blocks. But I suppose 99% could do that.

Oh right, I remember reading 'bout that in that in your Snap! manual.
I’d make the block edge fade boundry around 75%-99%

This one is quite interesting:
