R.I.P
I will take this advice to heart, especially since I like working on Snap! projects at midnight sometimes for some reason, even though I have plenty of other time in the day.
But the unresponsiveness thing never happened to me.
R.I.P X2
This had happened to me soooooooooo many times I was making a simple animation THAT TOOK ME OVER 5 WEEKS TO MAKE because every time I turned off my device (I’m usually off it for a bit like a few hrs at a time because of school and stuff) it… it just doesn’t save and deletes the project. So yea now I remember to always save a project because of that time…
Let me call to y'all's attention Section II.E of the Manual, entitled "If you lose your project, do this first!"
Rule number one: Save whenever you leave the computer
Rule number one: Save every 2.5 seconds
Rule number one: Save every quectosecond
Rule number one: Save every yoctosecond
Edit: I just realized a yoctosecond is more than a quectosecond.
Rule number one: Save every Planck unit

Is there a problem with my script?
The devs have expressed in the past that they do not want people to use auto-saving scripts.
I found the reason:
The script would use too much bandwidth because it would send a request to the server for every little thing that you do.
I'm curious. Are you turning off your computer or just putting it to sleep? If you're turning it off then you're probably losing all the apps that are open as well - in which case there's probably nothing you can do to fix the issue. If, however, you are putting your computer to sleep, then you're project shouldn't be being lost and there might be a way to solve the issue.
I always turn it off. I don’t know why probably just a habit.
for those looking at this script who may not know how hat blocks work: it uses a hat block with an infinity sign on it, aka a rule condition hat block, so it constantly checks a condition. It could make your project laggy until you remove it. Still a good script if you want something like this though.
To be honest, the reason it's a condition hat, is because I just opened an old project to get this script. If I wrote it today, I would probably have written it differently.
my cat “accidentally“ stepped on the power button of my pc while i was writing a sound generator thing in snap… good thing i only lost 30 minutes of progress
If you can, you should configure the power button to only put your PC to sleep and not shut it down completely.
Welcome to Snap! Forum by the way!
