If I make a game on Snap, am I aloud to post it on things like steam to make money off it?
If not then can I still post it on steam for free?
I think you should start reading the Steam documentation. I didn’t read it, but looking that there is an SDK I think it is not possible to share a Snap project on Steam.
If you store your project on your own computer, or you store it on our cloud but don't Share or Publish it, you can do whatever you want with it.
If you do Share or Publish your project here, you are agreeing to license it under CC-BY-NC-SA, which allows other people to do whatever they want with your project. You're allowed to publish it also on some commercial site and make money from it, but people who find it on that other site can also find it here and use it for free.
We prefer that our users embrace the idea of belonging to a community in which ideas are shared freely, though.
