In my Rothko inspired piece I aimed to create a uniform pattern in the background and have it be disrupted by a new color palette with rectangles facing a different direction. The consecutive rectangular blocks were intended to look as if they extend off the screen into infinity to give the effect that we are only looking at a small portion of a larger piece. There are more specific descriptions of the piece in the project notes.

This is a script that TRIED to simulate texture like Rothko has in his art. There were some issues that I had with trying to get the turtle to color the way I wanted, but for the most part it worked out okay I think. I'm not particularly good with art/color theory, but I tried to code it so that it would make two squares that complemented eachother.

I love this piece. It reminds me a lot of two labyrinths. I think it would have been really cool to have the sprite move into the green rectangles as if it were trying to solve a maze.

I liked this project, it's a very beautiful picture and I like that I am able to see the details such as the shadow cast by the sun.

I think this piece is really cool, I like how simple it is and I find the colors to be very calming and pleasing to look at.

I wanted to create a piece that was modeled after Rothko, but also clearly appeared to be digitalized and computer like.

I wanted to create a Rothco style image that was almost monochrome. I tried playing around with different shades and shapes to make the image look more interesting. The background has these pink sort of steps, and the foreground has rectangles in two shades to look sort of 3D.

I'm really loving the color scheme and the way you layered the shapes. Also I get what you mean by digitized, I think it's a really cool design.

I created a Rothko style image by drawing columns that slightly changed colors, then drew black and white stripes overlapping these columns, drawing yellow blocks in between the black and white stripes, and drawing two thin purple rows on the top and bottom of the stage. This was down by changing the pen size and hue depending on what I was drawing. I also moved a certain length and changed the x and/or y position a repeated number of times
