FYI one of the features of Advent of Code is that we all get given different inputs so our answers will be different.
The examples are all the same but each of us gets different inputs for us to solve

I think you completely misunderstood the post. This is an advent calendar for coding that was started 3+ years ago or something. Cymplecy is just giving the information of how we are doing it for :snap:. You should credit the creaters of AoC.

You know, I kind of feel bad about my positioning the leaderboard cuz 12:00 am (the time the puzzles are live) is 1:00 pm for me - quite easy to get it done quickly… At the very least the rest of y’all should know I have an advantage.

I was asking permission to use the idea, like make an advent calendar, but I can’t because this has been going for like 3+ years now. How was I supposed to know though. I’ve only been here since January.

advent of code isn’t a snap! event, it’s just something snappers like to participate in, it’s not cymplecy’s idea or property which is why he can’t give you permission to use the idea
also, advent of code itself has been going on since 2015 i believe, no clue how long these topic have been a thing though

i mean, if you’re planning to do it like the original website, you’d definitely need permission, but since i assume you’re just gonna make a snap! version, i don’t believe it’d be a problem
i’m just saying that asking cymplecy for permmission to use the idea for an advent calendar would be useless since he’s not the creator of advent of code

It was all just gonna about one of my games, and my post gets flagged for wanting to make my own advent calendar

while i agree your post getting flagged was a bit unreasonable, it’s not something to keep complaining about, it’s not stopping you from making the calendar if you really want to
