How to Create a Backend for your Snap! Project Using Replit

Very cool!

thanks. I was able to create this
https://snap-server.ego-lay-atman-b.repl.co/return/test
where "test" is the text it would be. I managed to enable cors, so you can just use the url. Please test it out since I'm gonna get off my computer now, and I want to make sure it stays up 24/7. I'm just doing this as a test for maybe a bigger project.

Its up!

Im glad this helped.

thanks.

What do you plan on making?

I don't know, but I may try something like creating a snap extension connect to minecraft (and even if it isn't on repl.it, this is still good to know)

repl.it?

yeah,

By the way, a minor point, but the corrected heading is now grammatically incorrect; it should be "a repl server of your own for Snap!."

BUMP! Please don't ask how to create a repl.it server again. This thing says it all and such.

Doesn't INSTALL.md in the snap cloud source code already explain this?

Yes, but teachers don't often read the source code or even know about the repo!

So would the hypothetical tutorial be geared more to the school sysadmin or a teacher that needs the steps explained step by step (e.g. how to get a server, how to install things on it, etc.).

Yes, exactly.

So which one?

Probably the school sysadmin.

What do we do is replit is blocked? I can still go on repl.it sites, but replit.com itself is blocked for me

See @joecooldoo? I'm not the only one who has repl.it blocked! This guy too!

Also @bh you were talking to me about this (And others).

Ask your school IT to unblock replit then
